Delicious Foods that People don't know Were Healthy.



No people likes to pass on the foods they would typically indulge in, but you know what is the truth, you don’t have to. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, maintain your current weight, or simply add more nutritional value to your diet, these so called “guilty foods” CAN be made healthy. It just requires some crafty resourcefulness… and maybe a little elbow grease!


1. Egg Dishes




A new study from Louisiana State University showed that people who ate a morning meal made with eggs felt fuller and consumed fewer calories at lunchtime than those who ate cold cereal. One explanation: Each 72-calorie egg contains six grams of hunger-busting protein, not to mention memory-boosting choline and vision-protecting lutein. Get cracking with these delicious egg dishes  whip one up in less than 15 minutes.

2. Rice


Consider utilizing wild rice in dishes that would normally call for white or brown rice like stir fries, soups, or salad recipes. Wild rice, like quinoa, is slightly higher in protein, giving it a nutritional advantage to white or brown rice. Plus, it’s an excellent source of fiber!

3. Pizza


Pizza is one of the popular dishes in the world, and has found itself in the center of discussions about advantages and disadvantages of its consumption. One of the most common misapprehensions about pizza is that, they are the part of the so called "fast food" types of foods. In reality, pizza can actually be very nutritional meal that can provide adequate sustenance to our body and metabolism. Pizza is a good source of some essential nutrients; it can be high in sodium, fat and calories.

4. Burgers


Red meat, including hamburger, tends to be overlooked as part of a nutritious diet; but moderate amounts fit perfectly into a balanced diet. Hamburger meat packs your meal with nutrients, like iron, vitamin B-12 and protein. So if you're a generally healthy person, a hamburger once in awhile may have some benefits.

5. Lasagna



With thinly sliced zucchini or eggplant as noodles, you can turn this dish into low carb, just like THAT! Swap out ricotta for cottage cheese for a lower fat option!
